Graphic Visual Merchandising

Students will further learn relative graphic software/technology applications on this course, within a given retail merchandising based project. This course will equip students’ knowledge in gaining skills in graphic specific software tools, in collaboration with merchandise display and advertising elements covered from Fundamentals of Fashion and Visual Merchandising. Software tool skills covered on this course are: Photoshop & Illustrator.  This course will allow students to not only gain useful skills in software digital visual merchandising, but to be able to innovate a retail store’s displays, signage, advertising and basic web site development towards and how to approach effective design principles towards boosting consumer buyer interests of given products.   Students are expected to reflect on key principles of research and consider a target audience, product trends and style direction of this setting proposal. The graphical approaches are to promote the fashion merchandise advertising and branding outcomes. This course strongly connects in line with the Interior Visual Merchandising course.
